Circuit Design

Xpedition® Designer provides extensive circuit design and documentation capabilities. Simplicity and intuitiveness in circuit design is achieved through user-friendly navigation tools, hierarchical design support, a start library, and powerful tools for managing component attributes and design rules. The high efficiency and performance of the schematic editor is supported by full forward and backward annotation with the topology editor as well as direct linkage to signal integrity analysis tools.

Manage engineering data

Xpedition® includes Engineering Data Management (EDM), which facilitates the creation and management of a component library and design data, improving its quality and ensuring integrity throughout the product development journey. EDM not only simplifies the design process through the use of collaborative work and reusable blocks, but also integrates with PLM and ERP systems.

Topology Design

The increasing complexity and density of printed circuit boards requires strict design rule control (DRC) tools in CAD. With Constraint Manager, Xpedition® provides engineers with the most efficient methodology for a constraint-controlled, end-to-end design path. It reduces cost and time to market by automating the interaction of design rules between the schematic and topology, eliminating additional iterations of physical layout and rework.

Analog and mixed signal circuit modeling

The Xpedition® package includes AMS (Analog/Mixed-Signal), a tool that extends the standard SPICE circuit analysis and enables easy functional verification, scenario studies, optimization of analog/mixed-signal radio elements and high-speed digital circuits.

Collaboration

The Xpedition® platform offers extensive collaborative design capabilities where a team of engineers can simultaneously enter constraints, edit schematics, and trace PCBs in real-time. Your development team can be spread across the globe-no hindrance to quality design.

Interoperability with MCAD

Xpedition® Layout facilitates the transfer of design data into mechanical CAD through the ProSTEP XML-based data exchange standard. With this format, MCAD and ECAD developers can exchange data with one another at any time and at any frequency while avoiding additional conversion.
