The Eldo application is a repeatedly proven industry-focused verification platform for predominantly analog circuits, providing high quality performance, reliability, and fault/performance diagnostics for analog, RF, and mixed signal analog-to-digital circuit designs in automotive, industrial process control, aerospace, medical device, power supply management, and many other critical areas. More than 200 companies use Eldo as their standard tool for modeling the safety, reliability and quality performance of ICs for a variety of applications. The application comes in three versions: Eldo Classic, Eldo Premier and Eldo RF.
Eldo delivers high-speed simulation with high accuracy to model analog ICs, especially those using BSD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) technology and to solve all the challenges faced during the design and verification process of these ICs.
Eldo offers a full suite of reliability modeling tools including a proven technology to simulate circuit degradation due to aging, coupled electro-thermal modeling to estimate the effects of power dissipation on circuit performance and a method to model possible out-of-safety zone scenarios throughout the IC lifecycle.
With Eldo certified as a standard tool by nearly every leading factory, the Eldo library of corresponding cell models is delivered as the gold standard for accuracy in Spice modeling. This is especially true for predominantly digital ICs (e.g., processors) where digital cell libraries require accurate characterization. Eldo's built-in advanced statistical analysis engine ensures that the characterization parameters will be almost exactly the same as the cells in silicon and will improve the yield for deep-submicron processes.
Combined with Questa and the mixed-simulation kernel, Eldo forms an integral part of Questa ADMS, which supports all versions of Spice, VHDL, Verilog, VHDL-AMS, Verilog-AMS and other languages and provides everything needed for functional verification of analog, digital and mixed systems, including full code coverage management and functional coverage methodology, the foundation of digital system verification.
